Star Trails
Star Trail photographs are created by placing your camera on a tripod and taking long exposures (or stacking and blending many short exposures) of the sky. Due to the rotation of the earth, the stars as viewed from the northern hemisphere will appear to move across the sky, revolving about Polaris, the North Star.
A few star trails created by taking many 4 minute exposures and stacking them together in Photoshop…
Something I have always wanted to do is make a video of each step of the star trail, adding each 4 minute exposure one at a time. I now have a Photoshop script that will do just that. Here is an example of the script in action with just a few 4 minutes exposures.
